  • Every great family adventure starts with a wake-up call that comes way too early. Here we are, thirty thousand feet up, running on pure adrenaline and zero sleep. The yawn says it all—Washington State is calling, but the coffee hasn't kicked in yet.
  • Once we finally touched down, Mom and Dad wasted no time finding a quiet spot to recharge. Just look at that view of the city streets. They always know how to anchor a trip, grabbing a moment of calm before the real chaos begins.
  • And by chaos, we mean figuring out where to eat first. The great restaurant debate! Jon and Sarah diving into the itinerary—and some incredible noodles—mapping out the weekend. You can't conquer the Pacific Northwest on an empty stomach.
  • Speaking of food, this sushi spread was an absolute masterpiece. Fresh tuna, perfect avocado, just a hint of spice. When you are on the coast, you have to take advantage of the seafood, and this plate did not disappoint.
  • There it is—the whole crew together. Mom, Dad, Ben, Sarah, and Jon. Getting five different schedules aligned for a family trip is a minor miracle these days. But sitting around this table, sharing edamame and stories, it feels like no time has passed at all.
  • We traded the city streets for the tarmac. Standing right outside the massive Boeing facilities, soaking in that hazy Washington sunshine. It is wild to see those giant green jets lined up in the background. A perfect afternoon for some plane spotting.
  • Back downtown, catching the afternoon light. Ben just taking in the sights, navigating the endless coffee shops and historic brick avenues. There is a specific energy to Seattle—it just pulls you in and makes you want to walk for miles.
  • Which brings us to the holy grail of Pike Place Market: Beecher's Handmade Cheese. Nothing stops a family in their tracks quite like warm, freshly made cheese. Just pure, unadulterated focus on that sandwich. Sarah's expression says everything you need to know.
  • Walking off all that food near the State Hotel and Ben Paris. The architecture around Pioneer Square and downtown is so rich. We were just drifting through the crosswalks, letting the rhythm of the city dictate where we went next.
  • Though, carrying bags and navigating those steep Seattle hills will definitely catch up with you. A quick stretch on the corner before the next adventure. You really have to earn your steps in this town, but the views are always worth it.
  • The craftsmanship here is everywhere, right down to the wooden signs. That iconic Beecher's logo is practically a beacon for anyone walking through the market. It is those little details, the local pride, that make this city so special.
  • And the main event itself! The iconic Public Market Center clock sign welcoming us to the madness. The energy here is electric—street performers, flying fish, fresh flowers, and crowds of people from all over the world just soaking it in.
  • Behind the scenes at the market, the prep work is relentless. Look at this beautiful assembly line of fresh deli sandwiches, perfectly stacked and ready for the lunch rush. It is a masterclass in feeding a hungry city.
  • Just catching a genuine laugh on the sidewalk. With the high-rises towering in the background and the construction cranes shaping the skyline, these quiet, candid moments between siblings end up being the memories you hold onto the longest.
  • You can't visit Seattle without going up. The Space Needle glass benches really test your fear of heights! Dad and Ben looking perfectly calm while hovering hundreds of feet above the sprawling city and the Puget Sound.
  • Sarah joined them on the glass, completing the fearless trio. The view up here is unbelievable—you can see the water, the boats, the entire grid of the city laid out below. It is the absolute best vantage point in Washington.
  • To cap off an amazing trip, a beautiful Italian dinner. Oysters on the half shell, fresh salads, and a table full of laughter. When Mom, Dad, Ben, Sarah, and Jon get together like this, every meal turns into a celebration.
  • As we walked out into the evening, this street musician was plucking away on his banjo, providing the perfect soundtrack. Here's to an unforgettable family trip to Washington State. To the food, the sights, and the time spent together. Cheers!
